India has had a great run in this World Cup so far, winning all six of their matches and sitting at the top of the table. In their latest match in Lucknow, India decimated England. Despite scoring a modest 230, they bundled out the England side for just 130. Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah played a significant role in this humiliating victory.
The next match in this World Cup will see India facing Sri Lanka on November 2nd at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Today, Indian players reached Mumbai ahead of the Sri Lanka match, and a video of their arrival was shared by ANI on their X account.
Shubman Gill was in great form before the World Cup, but unfortunately, he couldn’t participate in the first two games due to Dengue. Ishan Kishan replaced Shubman Gill for those initial matches. Once Shubman Gill recovered from Dengue, Ishan Kishan was replaced, and Shubman Gill rejoined the team.
Since then, Shubman Gill has played four matches. However, he has not been able to perform to his full potential. In the last four games, he managed to score only one fifty and got out cheaply on the other occasions. Despite being in good touch, he has been unable to capitalize on his form. The Indian top order is in good form, except for Shubman Gill. Hopefully, he will find his form at the right time.
Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill Friendship
It’s well-known that Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are close friends who used to play for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. They have a reputation for sharing fun moments off the field and often tease each other whenever they get the chance. One such funny incident was caught on camera as the Indian team arrived in Mumbai for their next game against Sri Lanka.
Shubman Gill was standing alone, checking his phone when Ishan Kishan came by and playfully hit Gill in the nuts while passing him. Gill, not expecting this, was shocked and taken aback. They exchanged a few words and then walked off together. This video has been shared on social media and has now gone viral.
